Eye Candy!

In honor of the Veuve Clicquot Charity Polo match I saw today, my eye candy is Nacho Figueras and Prince Harry. I was ambivalent about Nacho until I saw him on Oprah several months ago. He was so sexy, flirty and charming! I was smitten from that moment on. Prince Harry wasn't my favorite of the British royal brothers until these last few years. He's grown into a real handsome young man. Enjoy!

p.s.: this picture is from a yahoo search and I believe it's from today as this is what they were wearing before the match started. And Nacho does not smile in pictures I wonder why? He smiled when he was on Oprah.

Vueve Clicquot Polo with Prince Harry and Nacho Figueras!!!

I went to a a polo match on Govenor's Island and it was a lovely experience although it was extremely hot and humid, I'm so glad I got to see a real polo match with real polo players and a real prince!

The picture on the left is of Nacho Figuera and the one on the right is of Prince Harry being interviewed. These were taken on the way to the polo field from a little gap in  fence. I zoomed in as close as I could to get these. I felt like a paparazzi!

Nacho Figuera is number 2 in the black jersey on the far from left holding the gold flag.. Prince Harry is number 1 in the white jersey on the far right.

That is Prince harry on the far right.
This a picture I found from a yahoo picture search of the polo match today. I don't know the final score, but Nacho's team won from what they said on the news. The news also showed that Prince Harry took a fall off his horse, but obviously from this picture he was fine. I hope they do this again next year! I will definately be in the VIP section sitting in the shade, eating a nice meal and sipping Veuve Clicquot!

Coney Island Mermaid Parade 2010!

The Mermaid Parade is an annual event on Coney Island for the past 28 years! Last year was rained out, but this year was sunny and breezy and drew a large crowd! The only downer was the NYPD making us keep moving to allow freakin' tracffic through. They use to block off the entire street for the duration of the parade, but not this year. I was really annoying beyond the photogs who get in the way of  you taking pictures, but if you can get past that( we usually do) I would tell anyone to see this parade. If you lose interest you can always go across the boardwalk to the beach of hit up Luna Park and go on some rides. This may be the last summer to see Coney Island of (almost) old before the history destroying developers come in and change the landscape.

Wringling Brothers is set up next to the baseball field giving $10 performances!

The elephant's butt ! that's the shot you  get when people are in the way of the better picture.

The guy in the hat is Lou Reed, who was the King of the parade this year. I had a better beat on him but as I stated earlier, people were all in the way. This was the best I got.

Happy Father's Day!

I so forgot to do a blog on mother's day, but mom's sure do get the hook-up on thier day while dad's get a bunch of ugly ties, LOL! I did call my mother on mother's day and sent her a card though. I called my Pop today to wish him a Happy Father's Day and let him know how much I love my him.

My Pop took me to see Duran Duran when I was fifteen. Duran Duran didn't play the kind of music my Pop likes, but he sat through the entire concert while I was having a ball. He bought me a t-shirt and concert program as well. Considerring I hadn't asked for the t-shirt or the program ,I was surprised and happier than spiked punch! I still have the t-shirt and program from that concert. Duran Duran FOREVER! LOL!!!!

He also took me to my first baseball game a year later when we lived in San Diego, California.  It's those moments that I remember and treasure. I'm blessed to have a father and I thank God for him.

To all the father's of the world who take care of thier families...GOD BLESS YOU!

Nike

I did a show for Nike at the begining of May. It was a three day event with preperation and rehearsal before the actual show. The first two days were long as the changes were tough and they need more rehearsal time so we had to stay later and still come back the next day early! What I was able to see in rehearsal looked really good though. I only wish I could find a video of the actual show of which there were two. The first show was for Converse. I don't have any pictures of the show. This was a production for share holders, but I'm hoping somewhere there are pictures or a video of the show. But in the mean time...

This is Jacob and me (once again with no make-up, UHG!) Jacob is from southern Sweden and was  kind enough to teach me a bit of Swedish , I have since forgotten. I wish all my models were like Jacob. He knew what he  was suppose to do and he did it with ease and a calmeasy manner which I find most Swedes have. His eyes were pretty stunning too. This picture doesn't show, but he made me pause when he looked at me when I was checking to make sure his look was right. He's tall too!

This is a better picture of his stunning eyes. He had a nice smile as well.

The model I worked with for the Nike part of the show was nice, but in the end he jst walked away without saying thanks, or anything, so I will leave it.

The surprise was seeing Shuan T! Shuan T of Hip Hop Abs and the Insanity workout.! He was really nice and good looking too! He gave a bit of scoop on a celeb he use to train. Said this person was "crazy" to work with, not so easy LOL! All I will say is that the actor was in one of the Batman movies

These are the Nike sneakers we got for staying overtime. These are men's sneaks since they didn't have any women's in my size. These are also samples, not in stores yet! Too bad I don't need a new pair of sneak. I'm still considering selling them on Ebay or something.

Kimora Lee Simmons (Hounsou!) at The Learning Annex

I went to see Kimmora Lee Simmons at the Learning Annex on April 20. This was my second time seeing her. I went to another class she gave back in about 2006. I didn't post about this class right away because I experienced something that gave me pause.

Right before the above picture was taken, Kimora turned to me and gave me what I perceived as a most "stank" look, like I had said something offensive to her when all I said was "hi". I had to digest that moment  and not make it something it may not have been, but I have learned to trust my spirit. Funny thing is I was her dresseer when she was in the first stages of both of her pregnancies with her duaghters. She thanked me after the shows and gave me the obligatory double kiss on the cheeks. Eh, oh wel...

The above picture is of me and Christopher, Kimora's personal make-up artist.

This picture came out  a bit blurry, but you can still see that Kimora answered her cell phone during the class. I was her "husband" Dijom Hounsou calling from Korea(?) I think she said. I she did  call him her husband as well so they must have gotten married under the radar.

The class itself wasn't as informative as the first class I went to, but she did give us a free sample of her new perfume Dare Me!

Also,  I will not go to any event without puting on a photo ready face!

Reaffirm The Dream

We had a guest speaker and the spiritual center where I attend Sunday service about a week and a half ago(6/6). Her name was Patricia Moreno. She came to give a talk since our regular minister Paul, was at a conference in San Diego. Patrica gavve a really great talk that brought tears to my eyes because she was saying exactly what I have been feeling for a while now.

Patricia spoke about how three years ago at the age of 42, she wanted to have a baby, but she didn't want to raise a child alone. She wanted to experience the feel of having a child grow inside her body and she wanted to experience child birth. Her dilema was tht she had no partner for this endeaver and didn't see one in the near future, but she really wanted to have a baby so she had to reconcile with either having a baby alone or giving up on the dream of having a baby at all. She chose to have faith in her dream.

To make a long story short, Patricia did finally meet somone, and is now six months pregnant. I think I've wanted a baby since I was a baby, but had the good sense to wait until I was old enough to get pregnant. I'm old enough, but like Patricia, I don't have a committed partner to provide the fertalizer and I too would prefer to raise my child with a partner. Hearing her tell this story made me reaffirm my dream of a baby (or two, three or four! LOL!) I also reaffirmed some other dreams that I have neglected like having my own business, Some things are in place, but I'm stuck in neutral as to what to do. I'm taking steps to rectify that now.

I started reading the books about the law of attraction and maifesting wealth. I'm reading  the following books: The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D WattlesThink And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill (it's being used for th Master Mind group that's I'm going to be a part of) and Success Principles by Jack Canfield. I put off reading these books, but there is nothing like need more cash flow to put a fire under ones ass to do something productive in creating what one wants.

I started this blog to chronicle my adventures in NYC, but also to share my experiences as I transform myself and my life. I figured if I publicly declare what I want I would need to follow through in order to be a living testement to what doing what works can do for ones life. I want so much more and I have recommitted to doing whatever it takes and what works to achieve success.

Eye Candy!

I found this picture of Filip Gustavsson on a Russian blog someone posted on an online group I belong to. I went through the blog and when I saw this pitcure, my eyes watered they were so happy! I love black and white photos and Filip is just stunning.

Lost in the wilderness.

I've been feeling kind of blah for a while. I call it my wilderness, like when Jesus went out to be by himself for a while in the wilderness, that's me when I get out of alighnment, lost in the wilderness. I take the time to let the blah run it's course.I've learned not to force things in my life anymore and gently allow things to come and go.When I feel Blah, I just feel blah. I feel it and let it go through me and eventually the blah feeling fades away. The blahness is fading and I'm not lost in the wilderness anymore.
I've been neglecting this blog. I've also, in all likely hood, gained back the five pounds I had lost last month. I get like that sometimes, I get on a roll and everything is going well, then I slip off and all my progress comes to a screeching halt. I'm lucky if I just get stuck in neutral, but sometimes, like with my weight, I back slide, but never so far that it gets so out of hand that I want to give up. I never give up. NEVER! LOL! I simply re-affirm, re-set and start again. My will to see my dreams manifest are stronger than my wanting to quit.

I"ve got several things to document that I've put off posting about, but this week I'll fill in some of the gaps of this past month and get caught up. I'm going to start taking much better care in an act of extreme self care and divine self love.
