Randomness: Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

On my way to the Chadwick Bell fashion show, going through the Pennsylvania Hotel, I see  this:

I think he looks like a Beagle with longer legs! This breeds official name is a Treeing Walker Coonhound.

There was also this breed of dog:

**
The above left is a picture of a Kuvasz(from wikipedia).I didn' get a picture of the Kuvasz I saw. I had never heard of this breed until the owner of the dog I saw told me. I thought her dog was a Great Pyrenees, the dog on the right. They look very similar, right?  was told by the Kuvasz owner thay they were bred to do pretty much the same thing.

This is the dog, Banana Joe,  won Best in Show:

Look at that face! Looks like a little Chubaca or a Ewok with black fur!

And this dog, Bugaboo, was alternate Best in Show:

I took a picture of two Chihuahua's in tutu's but my camera just didn't want to cooperate and focus.

Fashion Week Fall 2013: Richard Chai Love

It's that time of year again! This is the firs of seven show for me in the coming week, Richard Chai Love. I have early morning shows which isn't easy for a night owl like myself, but it's only for a week. Unfortunately there is a big stor coming. I really don't want to be schleping in the snow, but we  fashionista's must do what we do. Plus I want to get paid!
* I forgot to add  celebrity sightings if you care: Christina Ricci and Ashlee Simpson. I didn't see them full on as there were too any people blocking my view.
Anyway, I don'tknow exactly how I feel about this  collection. It's wearable, but not overly exciting to me. What do you think?

One of the odels I worked with Grace. She gave me a hug when she met me awww. I always enjoy the shows more when I work with models like her.
The other model I worked with Alana. Nice girl.

Model Hanne, who was complaining about the fake(electric) cigarettes that were being handed out backstage.

Eye Candy

This is month's eye candy is named John. I know nothing else and do not know where to begin to get any information about him. I forget where I first saw his picture, but I am savvy enough to right click with my mouse and hit properties and saw that the picture was taken by a photographer named Jin Wang.

I did a quick search found Jin Wang's website searched until I found these pictures on his blog. All the photographer said about this model was that his name was John and that he is sexy. I agree, he is sexy. There is something beautiful and imperfect about him. His nose looks like he boxes and I like that. I gives his face character and saves it from being so girly pretty. He looks young and kind of elfish. I hope he's legal,I have been perving on the young ones for a minute, but I can look! And I do...look that is! LOL! Enjoy!

Harlem Fashion Row "Conversations" with June Ambrose at The Schomburg Museum

A friend of mine forwarded me an email about this event a couple of weeks ago. I registered, but the day of the event, last week, I was feeling on the fence about going. As you can see from the pictures, I decided to go and I'm glad that I did.

June Ambrose is a celebrity stylist/designer who began her career with rap video producer/director,Hype Williams back in the early 90's. Her current clients include: Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Zoe Saldana. Here is  link to a  Huffington Post article about her  from last year.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/27/june-ambrose-the-woman-behind-the-celebrity_n_1383110.html .  Apparently, she was to have styled Whitney Houston for her comeback with the release of the movie Sparkle before her untimely death.

It was a really good talk. June had lots of good stories to tell and tons of  advice and information for fashion veterans and people just getting into the industry. I really appreciate  when people like June Ambrose share their experiences. I felt really inspired and ready to put forth more time and energy into shaping and building my brand...whatever I decide it is. I will be working on it full time  this year!

On the left, in the pictures, is Brandice Henderson, founder and CEO of Harlem Fashion Row. June Ambrose, is on the right. My camera was acting funky and not wanting to focus properly,  so my apologies in advance the pictures not being sharper.
